Industrial Mixer FAQ - Industrial Mixer Supplier USA
Do you have industrial mixers in stock and ready to ship in the United States?
Yes — 3.5 to 350 cu ft in stock in FL, CA & OH. Contact us before ordering to confirm availability and receive a formal quote. We respond within 24 business hours.
What is the standard material specification?
SS304 structural frame + SS316 on all product-contact parts — agitator, vessel interior, shaft, and discharge valve. Compliant for food, pharma, chemical, nutraceutical, and cosmetics out of the box.
What is the difference between a horizontal and vertical mixer?
Horizontal — U-shaped trough, counter-flow ribbon/paddle/plough, 5–15 min mix, widest material range, largest capacity. Vertical — conical vessel, gentle orbital action, 10–30 min, fragile materials, compact footprint.
What capacity range is available?
3.5 cu ft to 350 cu ft in U.S. stock. Up to 1,000+ cu ft on custom order with 8–10 week lead time.
Do you supply ASME jacketed mixers for North America?
Yes — jacketed ribbon, paddle, and plough mixers plus jacketed mixing tanks with ASME Section VIII certification. Custom order — contact us for specifications.
Can QUICK PROPACK supply mixers for pharmaceutical GMP production?
Yes — SS316L, #7 mirror polish, CIP-ready, mechanical seals, vacuum capability, PLC with 21 CFR Part 11 compliant batch data logging. Material test certificates available on request.
What customization options are available?
Heating/cooling jackets, vacuum systems, liquid addition spray nozzles, all discharge valve types, ATEX explosion-proof controls, PLC automation, all sanitary finishes, load cells. Contact us with your requirements.
Do you supply mixers for U.S. government and UN procurement?
Yes — Quick3PL is CAGE-certified, SAM.gov registered, and UNGM approved. We support formal RFQ and bidding processes for institutional procurement at any scale.
What is the difference between a plough mixer and a ribbon mixer?
Ribbon mixer — gentle counter-flow, best for free-flowing powders. Plough mixer — high-speed mechanical fluidization, best for cohesive powders, wet granulation, wide density differences, and applications ribbon mixers cannot handle.
How do I calculate the right mixer size for my batch weight?
Formula: Required cu ft = Batch weight (lbs) ÷ Bulk density (lbs/cu ft) ÷ Loading ratio (0.40–0.70). Example: 3,000 lbs ÷ 38 lbs/cu ft ÷ 0.55 = 143 cu ft → Select 150 cu ft model. Contact us for help with your calculation.
What is SS317L and when do I need it?
SS317L has 3–4% molybdenum — higher than SS316L's 2–3%. It provides superior corrosion resistance for aggressive pharmaceutical solvents, concentrated acids, and specialty chemical applications where SS316L shows measurable corrosion.
What is the typical lead time for a custom order?
8–10 weeks for custom configurations. Jacketed units with ASME stamp: 10–12 weeks. In-stock standard units: immediate — contact us to confirm stock and ship date.
